It's again right about time to stay inside, drink hot tea and feel nostalgic about the past warm days. One of this kind of days that I will remember with a smile on my face is definitely that day in October that we spent together with Tanya & Lenya, who were visiting from St Petersburg. As a remark, I should mention how happy I am when photography brings such positive, fun and kind people like these two in my life :)
Every time I go to Central Park, I think of all the memories and history it keeps for just itself. It's kind of amazing how many people walk there every day, how differently they perceive the park and how many important moments happen there.
Going back to our day, we wanted to make something relaxing and cozy, and decided to just walk around and stop to have a little picnic while the weather was still warm and the park was still beautifully dressed…
It was already a pumpkin season, and all these garden treats I had picked from the greenmarket looked just perfect. Now after all these months, looking at the photos and seeing these two so romantic and mysterious, it's hard to believe that we barely hold ourselves from laughing and making faces all the time. I think the enigmatic looks and warm personalities are just a part of St Petersburg DNA :)
If you follow the mood of the day through this post and imagine what kind of the weather there is in NYC in October, you probably can guess that a glass of bubbles with a view had just come naturally and organically. In fact, that day would have not been the same without the rooftop drinks. Tanya & Lenya look just like an aristocratic couple having an aperitif before going to the opera or so :)
